ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Our mission is to continue extolling the affrilachian aesthetic, “making the invisible visible.”  To that end, our goal is to celebrate outstanding contemporary literature and feature images, essays and articles that celebrate the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the region and the urban centers that are home to many of its migrants, small towns, regional cities like Knoxville, Charleston, Nashville, Chattanooga, Asheville, Winston-Salem, Spartanburg, Lexington, Roanoke and major manufacturing and transportation centers such as Birmingham, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, Our distribution area will include every place in the region where excellence, culture and creativity is appreciated.

RATE INFORMATION
In this section are standard ad units and dimensional (width by depth), along with the one time rate.  Ads are set 1, 1-1/2, 2 or 3 columns wide.  Non-standard ad sizes are NOT available. Four-color ads available for the back cover only.  Spot color, Metallic and non-process color inks are NOT available.  Placement of the ad is at the discretion of the publisher (PLUCK!). Note: Rates represent cost per insertion.

BUTTON ADS: Dimensions: 120 pixels W x 90 pixels. (cost $325 )

The publisher shall have the right to hold the advertiser and /or its advertising agency liable for such moneys as are due and payable to the publisher for advertising that the advertiser or its agency ordered and which was published.  All contents of advertisements are subject to the publisher’s approval.  The publisher reserves the right to cancel or reject any advertisement, insertion order, space reservation, or position commitment at any time without cause. Only publication of an advertisement shall constitute final acceptance of the advertiser’s order. 

Circulation & Subscription PLUCK! Circulation is 5,000 and the cost of subscription is $30.00 (US) per year (3 issues).  PLUCK! is published three times a year (February, July and October).

Agency Commission: Not available at this time.

Advertising deadline Deadline for advertising is May 15 for July issue, August 15 for October issue and Dec 15 for February issue.  Cancellations or changes in order s must be received in writing by the closing date.  No cancellations or changes accepted after the closing date.

Publication trim size: 8-1/2” x 11”

Type page size: 7-1/2” wide, 9-3/4” deep.

Bleed Dimensions and charges:
Bleeds are accepted for Full-Page Spread (17-1/4” x 11-1/4”) and /full-Page (8-5/8” x 11-1/4”) ads.

Gutter: 1” Note: In ads that bleed into gutters, vital advertising matter should be kept within a width of 7-1/2” to allow fir variations on folding.

Screen: 150-Line screen.

Method of Binding:

Saddle stitched

Color: 4-color cover

Alteration charges: $65.00/hour.

Include the advertiser’s name  in the subject line. Also include the name of contact person, phone number and address. Logos and images included in the advertisement should in line-art mode and 1200 dpi.  TIF format. Photographs should be in either grayscale or CMYK mode and at least 300 dpi as .TIF or .EPS formats. Via Disk or Removable Media These are accepted with fonts, original layout document and images included. Mac PC platforms are accepted. Logos and images other than photographs included in the advertisement should be   in line art mode and 1200 dpi. Tiff format. Photographs should be in either grayscale or CMYK mode and at least 300 dpi as .Tiff or .EPS formats. Supported applications: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat. Acrobat files should be optimized for high-resolution.
